Colin Robert Kerr

B: abt 1927

Younger brother of Colin, this snapshot is provided by Bryan Kerr:

Colin was the second son born to Frederick Thomas and Rhoda Elizabeth and brother of John and Bryan. He was the cleverest of the three sons, having obtained his Leaving Certificate at Broken Hill High School in 1944. When the family moved to Cobar in 1940, Colin went to school at the Dubbo High School as there was no High School at Cobar. Colin boarded there in a private home for six months.

Before holidaying with the family in Melbourne at Xmas 1944-5, Father apparently obtained a position for Colin to be employed by the Zinc Corporation Mine in their assay laboratory in Broken Hill, but he never took up the position because of the Air Crash.

Colin’s activities at age 17 were tennis, socially with Bryan, and with the Air Force Cadets in Broken Hill.

Colin is buried with his father in the Coburg Cemetery, Melbourne.
